XGS Energy Reports Commercial Demonstration of Water-Independent Geothermal Well

XGS Energy said its closed-loop geothermal system ran over 3,000 commercial hours at Coso, validating its Thermal Reach Enhancement (TRE) technology, a highly-conductive material that is pumped downhole as a liquid through perforations in the well casing to contact hot rocks. XGS reported record temperature differentials, model accuracy within 2%, and improved predictability for scalable, lower-risk geothermal projects.
